From 6.4.0 Basic mathjax functionality is available (it can be disabled via the admin config screen)
Mathjax will be rendered in all inputs. Latex/MathML should be placed between one of the following:

$$$ - new line

Textbox questions can use the mathjax type for student editor. this allows students to use mathjax and see there answered render during an exam:

If Rogo is using the tinymce editor then admins can preview the mathjax they have entered using the 'preview' button:
If Rogo is not using the tinymce editor and just the plain text editor. Then mathjax preview is also available to admins when they are creating questions:
